Christianity

For my project I have explored using different materials such as pen, pencil, painting and digitally. I did a digital drawing that represents my view and interpretation on christianity and what it means for people. My project is meant to be a representation of christianity protecting us from the evils of hell shown by the devils trying to enter our world and ruin life. I tried to take a different approach to a christian drawing than others have or would.

Egyptian Cat Culture

In this animation I have introduced two different characters one of which is being portrayed as a villain or is shown to be persuasion and another which is showing the complete opposite, scared and confused. The reason I decided to do Egyptian cats is because I personally enjoy Egyptian culture and I have a lot of fun drawing big cats and creating my own characters. So I put them together and since Egyptian cats are highly worshiped in Ancient Egypt this idea worked very well. Although this animation was challenging for me to do, I learned a lot of new skills which will help me to improve on future projects.

The Result

I have exhibited a collection of pen doodles on a colourful paint-poured background that show the effects of urbanisation and industrialisation. The green watercolour of the murky water below the city reflects the toxicity of the modern world and the pollution it produces, while the warped style of the doodles represents the imperfection of man-made structures - almost endorsing nature as the only truth in life. The colours of the cosmic background fade to a vibrant and violent yellow and red, which portrays how the world is suffering and burning as a result of modern lifestyles. The calming blue and green across the cityline shows how people in these areas are oblivious to the effects they are having on the environment, while the red scorched land across the bridge shows the consequences for the rest of the world.

Map Of Atheria

This is a map of a fantasy region known as Atheria. I have explored real-world lore and geography to inspire my own folklore. I have used Inkarnate, a tool to create maps and it has been officially published. Every detail has lore behind it. I want to grasp the attention of the viewer with unique biomes and localised assets that fit the world and narrative. The coastlines are sharp and the mountains are high, using varying brush sizes to represent the ever-changing nature of these landscapes. Vibrant colours set the atmosphere of modern fantasy, outlining the feeling of adventure. Colour has also been used to represent specific biomes and areas to further draw attention to the regions.

Killer Cat Robot

A ferocious feline mech trampling amongst a dystopian tainted forest that's Japanese inspired, oh but what's this?... It's being controlled by a cat?! For the theme of culture and tribes I decided on how cats are favored in Japanese culture and how transformer mechs originated from there. I got inspiration from my own cat as I adopted him very recently.

Clay Totem

I was drawn to the idea of creating something that represented my identity and how I see myself. I started by looking into various options such as sculptures, pottery, and totems. I became increasingly fascinated by the concept of creating totems as I delved deeper into each option. I was drawn to the idea of creating art that represented my identity and would connect to the theme. I decided to make a totem out of Air dry clay that had personal significance to me. I wanted to make something meaningful to me, represent my identity and how others perceive me. I wanted to design something that reflected my personality, values, and beliefs. I chose to keep it white as it symbolizes peace. Finally represented through various face models and facial expressions that correspond to various human emotions.

Palo

I have exhibited a collection of pen drawings and paintings which represent this African diasporic religion called Palo. With my  theme being tribes and cultures, I have explored different ways to  create portraits and how to represent my chosen religion and with these exhibited pieces I have  not only created a portrait but also provided context to each  piece. I used subtle yet definitive colours to exaggerate the confidence of this religion, While the steady pen and paint drawings reflect the strong and reliable comfortability that is often what religions are known for. The size of the canvas represents balance and stability within cultural beliefs.

Fashion Magazine

I have exhibited a collection of various photographs in a magazine  which represent different aspects of London street fashion culture. With my  theme being Tribes and cultures, I have explored different ways to showcase streetwear and with these exhibited pieces I have  not only created a magazine but also provided context with fashion articles on each page. With my magazine I used Indesign and Illustrator to make my magazine as realistic as possible. With my thought process and research I gathered that streetwear is so broad so I wanted to make it into city style.
